Guardian music critic (& all round top bloke in our book) Robin Denselow has reviewed At the Races saying nice things like:

"...refreshingly no-nonsense approach."

"..clever but successful reworking..."

and our particular favourite, "An intriguingly original set"

 

A couple of pages earlier is the review of Kate Bush's new record, which mentions her famous gaps of 6 & 10 years between albums... so, we feel in good company!

We've had the pleasue of playing on the same bill as exceptional duo Megson several times over the years (we've even met top dog The Moog). They're twice nominated for the BBC Folk Awards & were described by The Guardian as "The most original duo on the British folk scene."

So... we were extremely pleased that they seem to have taken a shine to our new album. Stu Hannah from Megson says, "On At The Races, James has developed his rich baritone vocal into the perfect vehicle for a set of classic songs."
